These are several video audio editing applications you can use to record music in your room with the help of computer.
- Audacity (audacity.sourceforge.net). This small size free application can be used to edit music simply with many tracks so that guitar sound, vowel, and other music instrument can be combined. There many free plug-in support it.
- Adobe Audition (adobe.com/products/audition). This application formerly called Cool Edit Pro. After equalized by Adobe, the name changed into Adobe Audition. With the support of VSTi and multi track, the feature is complete and easy to use. The new version is Adobe Audition 3.
- FL Studio (flstudio.image-line.com) well known as Fruity Loops, this workstation audio digital application can be used to edit, mix, record and master a music recording. The support of VST plug-in and various visual instruments already adopted.
- Steinberg Nuendo (steinberg.net). It has similar function to Fruity Loops, Steinberg Nuendo provides various accompanying virtual instrument application like guitar, bass, and drum that claimed they can be played by anyone who can’t play their original instrument.
- Sony Sound Forge (sonycreativesoftware.com/products/soundforgefamily.asp). This application is dedicated for semi professional musician or semi professional. But, anyway many people use this as a good recording audio application due to the easiness and outstanding recording audio application like noise eliminator and distortion editing.
