This is the following post of ‘Tips to Inactivated Some Services in Vista’.  Now it is time for us to discuss about managing services in vista.

In Services applet, you can see many available services, but you can see the notes for status and startup type for every service. When a service work, it will show a list with “Started “ sign in status column.

If the status column is empty, it means the service is not active. You can also watch the “Startup Type” column. There is only one set from four available sets. Those sets are:

  1. Automatic: Service will work when system is booting. If you feel that these services are not necessary, you can stop it.
  2. Automatic (Delayed Start): this option is just like automatic option but the services are not work directly when booting. This is a newest option in Vista to minimize the system resources.
  3. Manual: This manual option depends on users’ choice. Its services will not active when booting and work when user chooses it active.
  4. Disabled: This option will stop the services. It may not necessary.
