PDF Files Optimization. Because of its protection ability that is quite good and also its small size, the PDF has become the standard document distribution via the web page. But, although the file size which is produced by this application is relatively small, you are still required to do the optimization if you want to create a file which is in PDF format.
The reason could be because in the current file, there are several extra large size images, fonts that are not required, or comments that are do not need to be seen by the reader. The distribution of files also becomes easier if it is in a small size.
Here is how to do the optimization.
- Run the Acrobat via the “Start> All Programs> Adobe> Adobe Acrobat Professional” menu.
- On the main window of the program, select the “Advanced> PDF Optimizer …” menu.
- On this PDF Optimizer window, you can do the optimization of pictures, that exist in the current PDF file, via the “Images”. Meanwhile, to optimize the PDF document that is a result from the scanning process, you can do it via the “Scanned Pages”. You can also do the optimization of the “Fonts” and “Transparency” setting according to the quality of the documents that you want.
- To reduce the size of PDF files significantly, provide a check mark on every options in the “Clean Up” menu.
- Click “OK” to execute the changes that you have done.
