Tips To Disable a Manual Service in Windows Vista, Windows Vista Help and Tips

This is the following post of ‘Managing Services in Vista’.    When you set the services “Manual”, you may think that the service is not working but actually it still being worked by Vista. In order to stop the services, you must choose Disable option.

You can try some steps below to disable a service:

1. Double click at the service name, then you will see Properties window of the service.
2. Watch the Startup Type list
3. Click the arrow down in Startup Type box and choose Disabled option.
4. Click OK button.

After finish it, you will see the change in Startup type column for service status.
